Hello there. Let me tell you right now that this is not an actual episode. Rather, it is an announcement, an important one regarding a new project entitled: “The Blake Wexler Show”.
Is that a creative title? No, absolutely not. Is it a titillating title? Depends on who you ask. But is it a title that perfectly describes my new podcast? You bet bloody your bloody bum it is. By the way, if your bum is actually bleeding right now, go to the hospital. Unless this happens often, then ya know what, keep doing what your doing, don’t let anyone tell you how to live your life.
Let’s get to the god damn point. Now when my critics, and I do have my critics, hear that I am releasing a new podcast, they’ll say, “What is this, his 100th attempt and doing his own podcast?” No, it’s my third podcast series. But this time, I’m doing it right.
For people who have just recently begun to allow my voice to enter their ears, I have already had two separate podcasts over the past year and a half. A lot of people enjoyed my first podcast series, “Look at Me” w/ Blake Wexler, which consisted of interviews and conversations with stand up comedians. But then when I moved to Los Angeles to finish college, I had no time to sit down and do full interviews. Instead, I drove around Los Angeles and while simultaneously recording a podcast. Exactly 4 people enjoyed that one.
I’ve spent my entire life dabbling, everyone. And quite frankly, I’m sick of it. In the words of Harry Truman, the president, and murderer of countless Japanese civilians, “The Buck Stops Here!” No more dabbling for Blake Wexler. No, fuck that.
I’ve finally overcome the one obstacle standing in the way of my dreams. That obstacle, of course, was a college education. Now, I can fully pursue my one love, comedy, with all my heart and soul. And that’s what I plan to do with The Blake Wexler Show. There will be conversations with comedians, and other guests, certainly. I will also be joined by characters, both real and fake, and there will also be podcasts recorded in front of a Live audience. I’m not fucking around people.
And with that, I thank you for listening to this. But more importantly, I thank you for joining me on my quest, a quest to create one of the most interesting podcasts on the internet. That’s sounds good. Stay tuned for the release-date of the first ever episode of The Blake Wexler Show.
Thank you, and good night. If it is night. If not, thank you and good whatever day it is.
God damnit.
